In early 2023 we were approached by a friend from a previous trip, Yannick. He had guided a trip to Peru in 2022 and was about as Mutt Society as they come. Back home, in Bolivia, he is a World Champion and also a strong supporter of the local bike scene and youth. He mentioned that near his home city of La Paz, there was a trail network built and maintained by a family who farmed in the area.
Because of the incredible efforts by the family to keep mountain biking alive, and the incredible support that the father showed for his sons who love to ride, he suggested that we go and check out the trails. In addition, he wondered if we could bring a surprise down for the two sons, Isaias and Dani.
After a few months of planning, we were ready to go. In late August (right after I got married), we travelled down to Bolivia to ride, explore, and give back to a passionate community.
